Sylvan Nursery, Inc. is primarily a wholesale business. We accommodate the retail trade on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We sell a wide variety of plant material in a range of sizes. We are not a Garden Center, nor do we offer design, installation or delivery services.
Retail Visitors Must Stop By The Office
SYLVAN'S STEPS TO SERVICE
- Please sign in at the office. This allows us to speak with you and decide exactly what your needs are.
- If you have a plant list and know exactly what you want, we will match you with a salesperson as soon as one is available. (Please note: During busy times, your cooperation is greatly appreciated with this matter, as there are sometimes more customers than salespeople.)
- If you do not know what you want, we suggest a walk around the nursery to help you decide on your selections. Maps of the nursery and locations, as well as information sheets about specific plants, are available in the office. We also suggest a pad of paper and a pen to write down names of plants that you would like more information on, so you can Google that plant name later to see if it will work in your landscape.
- Retail customers are encouraged to take the desired plant material with them. If this is not possible we will hold tagged material for a period of one week. Every effort will be made to provide you with the plants tagged, but this is not guaranteed. Tagging through a landscape company will be permitted with a representative from the landscape company in attendance.
OUR GUARANTEE
We sell plants true to variety and in good condition at the time of purchase. Acceptance of the material implies that the buyer agrees that the stock is healthy. No additional guarantee is offered or implied. We take no responsibility for plants damaged due to poor care received after leaving the nursery. Any liability is limited to the original price of the stock. No material may be returned after planting.
For Your Safety
WE ADVISE VISITING OUR NURSERY WITHOUT THE KIDS
Due to the use of heavy equipment in our yard, your child's safety may be at risk. We advise visiting the nursery when you are able to do so without children. If children must accompany you, it is required that you hold them closely by the hand. At no time, due to insurance regulations, are small children allowed on carts. Dogs must be on a short leash.
