Wonderful experience! Found exactly what we needed for privacy trees. So much to see and choose from.

The best nursery for serious horticulturalists in eastern mass, and especially notable for native plants and straight species. If you want it, they have it or they can get it. Easy to navigate and welcoming to the general public even though it is more designed for wholesale and landscapers. As with any nursery, it's important for buyers to pick the right plant for the right site, do adequate site prep, and consult professionals for advice (this includes the folks at the front desk who are more than happy to provide tips).

Trying to shop around for some shrubs and trees and everyone was really helpful

Gorgeous location. They have an extensive variety of flowers, trees, shrubs and anything in between. I was already excited to have my land reworked, but now I can't bare to wait in seeing the finished product. Staff was also delightful.

What an experience, beautiful selection, staff is exceptional.
I would recommend going there just for the variety (50 acres).

Sylvan is an absolute Mecca for trees. I came here looking for some different options to plant in my mothers yard and found a beautiful Zelkova and Ginkgo. The trees are big, extremely healthy, and very well priced. Best of all they'll have numerous cultivars for each of the types of tree. Most places have just one for any tree. Highly recommend.

Great selection of plants, bushes, and trees. Best that I've seen. Prices are excellent and the staff was very helpful. I am guessing that the place would be very busy on Saturdays in the spring. I went early on a Thursday morning and it wasn't busy. Only open to retail customers on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

This is one of the most organized operations our company have ever purchased from. The variety of inventory is amazing. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. Bring your walking shoes the place is huge!

Absolutely beautiful nursery with an amazing assortment of plants, shrubs, and trees. Spent 3 hours walking the greenhouses and still only saw about half of what they have to offer can't wait to go back.

This nursery is so special that I always visit it when in the area and usually buy plants even though it is a five hour drive from my home.
The selection and plant quality is excellent. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are competitive.

Called ahead for some trees and picked up the next morning. Great customer service for retail shopping. They have a huge selection and will be going back for more landscaping.

Best plants, best people exception business.

Beautiful place. I wish I had come when I had more time and earlier in the season to explore. I purchased a blueberry bush. They had a large selection and large variety of plants. Even this late in season (mid-August) it was obvious their plants had been well cared for. The sales staff was extremely helpful and knowledge about their plants; how to plant and care for them. They also provided me with written instructions. I plan to check them out again next spring to see all that they have to offer. I have been looking for blueberry plants for a few weeks and by far this place had the most choices and healthiest looking plants and most helpful staff.

This is THE place for trees, shrubs, and perennials. I understand the frustration of people who gave Sylvan low ratings. No one told them how Sylvan works before they arrived. Here's the scoop... it is not an establishment geared toward the retail customer. This firm is primarily "to the trade." Their primary customer is a professional garden designer or landscape architect.
